A Time of Thanks
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year as it is not a holiday centered on gifts, but rather centered on the connections and appreciation we have for one another as human beings.
This is a great opportunity to thank this incredible community for all that you do to make Hidden Hills such a special place. We know that without the support of our community, whether it is a donation of time or resources, our students would have a vastly different school experience. I want you all to know that your generous donations are put to good use on a daily basis at Hidden Hills and truly enrich the education we are able to provide for our students. Without our Hawk Fund and PTA donations, it is hard to imagine what our school would look like. Because of you, our students' learning is enhanced through such important resources as technology instruction, access to iPads and laptops, classroom paraprofessionals, enriched interactive learning in Science, and band and vocal music, just to name a few. In addition, our PTA helps support several important programs at our school, including "Soul Shoppe" which helps to support our students with valuable tools and strategies to be independent problem solvers and helps us create an environment that is fun, safe, and bully-free.
With gratitude and appreciation,

PTA Reflections Showcase
Dear Parents, this is to remind you that the Council PTA Reflections Showcase is on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 from 6.30-8.00 pm at Creekside Elementary MPR (6011 Massara Street Danville). Everyone is welcome to see the work on display from over 25 schools in the SRVUSD! We look forward to seeing you there.
Donate Old Glasses to Help the Needy:
Some of our second grade students at Hidden Hills are involved with a community service project through their Girl Scout Brownie Troop. Their service project is to collect old
eyeglasses and sunglasses for adults and children. If you have a pair
lying around the house and you don't know what to do with them, please bring
them to the Hidden Hills' main office where they have a donation box.
The troop will donate the glasses to the Lions club who will then give them to
those in need.
There will be NO SCHOOL during Winter Break from 12/23/13 through1/3/14. School will be back in session on Monday, January 6, 2014.
Hawks Ed Fund Announcement:
We would like to welcome our newest board member Neha Fowler filling an open Director position. Please help me welcome this proud, busy, working mom of a Hidden Hills 4th grader! Welcome Neha!
