VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Open PTA Position

To be able to continue Fitness Fridays from the first week in October 2014, we are still in need of a new Chair to run this exceptional program.  Our current Chair is having to step down due to other commitments but is willing to help with the transition.  If you and a friend are interested then this is also a position that can be shared.  If you are interested in this open PTA position, please contact Caroline Mowat at hhespta@gmail.com.

Thank you for helping to support this wonderful program!

APPRECIATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS:

PTA Appreciations

Dear Parents,
I would just like the time to say THANK YOU to you for all of the volunteering that you have done this year, whether or not, it was helping in the classrooms, at home or for the Family Fun Nights , etc.  Without all of your help and support, the school would not be able to put on the events that we do!

I would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all of the outgoing PTA Board and Chair members, as well as the Board and Chair members who are continuing in their current or new roles for the next school year.  We couldn't do this without you !  I wish you all a very happy summer and look forward to seeing you in August.

THANK YOU to all the parents who volunteered to help at Field Day!  It was a huge success, and Mrs Simpson wanted me to pass on her thanks for helping this event run so smoothly!

Kind Regards, Caroline Mowat, PTA President

End-of-Year Sister School Thank You

A huge thank you to students, parents and staff at Hidden Hills for their support of the Sister School Program, through your generous donations for the:
School Supply Drive, Coins for Books, Warm Coat Drive, Scholastic Books and Recycling. The Coins for Books and donated Scholastic points were
a huge success with 240 new books being purchased for Fifth Grade literature at at Cambridge, as well as approximately 50 books for Kindergarteners
for a new Summer Reading Program.

Just recently, we found out that Cambridge only has a PE teacher once a week and only for 4th and 5th Graders . Through our fantastic Recycling program, we raised over $750 and Hidden Hills PTA w as able to increase that donation to allow basic PE equipment (including playground balls, flag football, hula hoops) to be bought for Cambridge.  This will help our Sister School to introduce PE to all grade levels, not just 4th and 5th.    The equipment will be delivered to Cambridge next week and will be ready for use at the start of the new school year.  Our Sister School is truly grateful for everything they have received from Hidden Hills, and we look forward to another successful year ahead.   Thank you !!
